Dod-dle Terms & Conditions

Dod-dle is a simple to use and easy to understand bookkeeping, accountancy and tax online service for small businesses.

These terms and conditions govern your use of the service and website and, by using this website, you accept these terms and conditions in full.  These terms apply from the time that you first begin using the service.

These terms are intended to set out our obligations to you as a provider of a service and your obligations to us as a customer of that service.

It is likely that these terms will change over time and when a change is made we will notify you by email.  It is your obligation to ensure that you read and understand these terms fully.

Use of Dod-dle

Dod-dle grants you the right to access and use the service via the website according to your chosen subscription package.  This right is non-exclusive, non-transferable and is subject to agreement to these terms. 

If you allow someone else to use your subscription you are responsible for any information or data entered into the service.  

You must not use this website in any way that causes, or may cause, damage to the website or impairment of the availability or accessibility of the website or in any way that is unlawful, illegal, fraudulent or harmful or in connection with any unlawful or harmful purpose or activity.

You must not use this website to copy, store, host, transmit, send, use, publish or distribute any material which consists of (or is linked to) any spyware, computer virus, Trojan horse, worm, keystroke logger, rookit or other malicious computer software.

You must not also attempt to gain entry to those areas of the site that are restricted.

Restricted Access

Dod-dle is a subscription based online service and therefore certain areas of this website are restricted to subscribers.  We reserve the right to restrict access in the event of non-payment to any areas of this service.

We will provide you with a username and password which it is your responsibility to keep safe and secure.  We will not be liable for any claims whatsoever in relation to lost, mislaid, stolen or otherwise missing log in details.  

Payment

An invoice for the use of the service will be issued each month starting one month from the date you first signed into the service.  Invoices will include the fee for the use of the service for the following month. We will keep invoicing you until you end your agreement with us by cancelling your account.

Invoices are payable within 10 days of the issue date and you are responsible for ensuring that payment is made on time.  Should we not receive payment within this time we reserve the right to restrict your access to the service or to end the agreement.

Payments can be made by Visa, Mastercard, American Express, JCB and Maestro. 

Limited Usage

Use of the service is subject to a fair usage policy and if you breach this we will notify you.  This is intended to safeguard the use of our service and maintain it for the benefit of small businesses.

Indemnity

You indemnify Dod-dle against all claims, costs, damage and loss arising from your breach of these terms and conditions or any obligation you may have to Dod-dle, including (but not limited to) any costs relating to the recovery of any fees that are due and have not been paid by you.

No Warranties

This website is provided “as is” without any representations or warranties, express or implied.  Dod-dle makes no representations or warranties in relation to this website or the information and materials provided on this website.

Without prejudice to the generality of the foregoing paragraph, Dod-dle does not warrant that:

  - This website will be constantly available, or available at all

  - The information on this website is complete, true, accurate or non-misleading

  - The  service is error free

  -  Is suitable for your needs or will meet your requirements

Nothing on this website constitutes, or is meant to constitute, professional advice.  In the event that you are unsure of any part of this service then you should contact a professional for advice, such as an accountant or tax advisor.  It is your responsibility to ensure that Dod-dle meets the needs of your business and is suitable for your purposes.  You remain responsible for ensuring that all applicable tax, accountancy and other laws are complied with.

Limitations of Liability

Dod-dle will not be liable to you (whether under the law of contract, the law of torts (or otherwise) in relation to the contents of, or use of, or otherwise for any loss (including loss of information or data) in connection with the use of the service or website. 

If you suffer loss or damage as a result of Dod-dle’s negligence or failure to comply with these terms, any claim by you against Dod-dle will be limited to any one incident, or series of connected incidents, to the fee paid by you in the previous 12 months.

If you are not satisfied with the service your sole and exclusive remedy is to terminate these terms.

Reasonableness

By using this website, you agree that the exclusions and limitations of liability set out in this website disclaimer are reasonable.  If you do not think they are reasonable, then you must not use this website.

Termination

Dod-dle offers a one month free trial during which you can use the service for evaluation purposes.  Some of the features of the service will be disabled under this free trial.  If you choose to continue to use the service thereafter, you will be invoiced from the day you first signed up to the service.  If you choose not to continue using the service then you must cancel your subscription before the expiry of the trial period.

Dod-dle does not give a refund for any unused portion of a month in which the service is cancelled by you.

Should you no longer wish to use the service then you must close your account.  

We reserve the right to terminate this agreement and to close your account if you are found to be misusing the service, if you become insolvent or your company goes into liquidation, or has a received appointed, or you make any arrangement with your creditors, you fail to make payment of your invoice within 10 days of the date of issue, or for any other reason.

If any monthly invoice is not paid within 10 days of the issue date then we reserve the right to suspend or terminate your use of the service without notice.

Severability

If a provision of these terms and conditions is determined by any court or other competent authority to be unlawful and/or unenforceable, the other provisions will continue in effect.  If any unlawful and/or unenforceable provision would be lawful or enforceable if part of it were delete, that part will be deemed to be deleted, and the rest of the provision will continue in effect.

Entire Agreement

These terms and conditions constitute the entire agreement between you and Dod-dle in relation to your use of the service and this website and supersede all previous agreements in respect of your use of this website.

Jurisdiction

This agreement is governed by the laws of England and Wales and you hereby submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales for all disputes arising out of or in connection with this agreement.

Notices

Any notice given under these terms, from one party to the other, must be in writing by email and will be deemed to have been given on transmission.  Notices to Dod-dle must be sent to support@doddle.co.uk or to an email address notified by email to you by Dod-dle.  Notices will be sent to the email address entered by you into the service.

Variation

These terms and conditions may be changed from time and time and you will be notified of this by email.  Please check this page regularly to ensure you are familiar with the current version.
